See People First: Connection, Gratitude, and the True Currency of Life

What if the key to success wasn’t strategy… but how deeply you see and serve others?

In this heartfelt and powerful episode of Economy Creators™, Mary sits down with Lynn Lionhood—entrepreneur, speaker, radio host, and master connector—whose life’s work is rooted in one simple, transformative principle:

See people. Truly see them.

Lynn has built her life and business around connection—not transactional networking, but genuine, human connection that uplifts, empowers, and creates lasting impact.

As she shares in this conversation, every person she meets is like a book on a shelf—filled with stories, experiences, and untapped potential waiting to be understood.

And when you take the time to read those stories…

Everything changes.

💡 A Life Shaped by Faith, Adversity, and Purpose

Lynn’s ability to connect so deeply didn’t come from nowhere.

Through a difficult upbringing and a life-changing moment when her husband suffered a devastating accident, Lynn was called to step into a level of strength she didn’t know she had.

During that time, she made a promise:

To do something every day to help someone she wasn’t connected to financially or personally.

That promise became her way of living.

And it continues to shape every interaction she has today.

🌱 What You’ll Learn in This Episode

This conversation is filled with wisdom you can apply immediately:

• Why connection—not transactions—is the foundation of success
• How to truly listen beyond words and understand what people feel
• The power of leading with service before expecting anything in return
• How gratitude shifts your perspective and your results
• Why asking “What did you want to be at 18?” creates deeper relationships
• How to build trust, community, and opportunity through authenticity

Lynn also shares her powerful daily practice:

👉 Sending gratitude to 20 people each day

A simple act that not only changes how others feel—but transforms how you experience your own life.

🔥 A New Way to Think About Networking

In a world where networking often feels transactional, Lynn offers a completely different approach:

Don’t lead with:
“What do you do?”

Lead with:
“Who are you?”

Because when you understand someone’s story—their journey, their struggles, their dreams—you create connections that go far beyond business.

You create relationships.

And relationships create everything else.

🌟 The Real Currency of Life

Lynn’s message is clear:

Life is not about rushing, achieving, or accumulating.

It’s about:
• noticing the small blessings
• appreciating the people around you
• showing up with intention
• and choosing to serve

Because when you do…

You create a ripple effect that extends far beyond what you can see.

💬 A Final Reminder

Life can change in an instant.

Don’t wait to:
• express gratitude
• reach out
• say what matters
• or truly see the people in your life

As Lynn reminds us:

The smallest moments often carry the greatest meaning.

This episode is a masterclass in what it truly means to be an Economy Creator:

👉 Lead with service
👉 Build through connection
👉 And live with gratitude

Because when you do…

You don’t just build a business.

You build a life.

Build Your Own Stage: How Nicole Borghi Creates Opportunity Ecosystems

Build Your Own Stage: Creating Opportunity Through Story, Strategy, and Visibility

What if instead of chasing leads… you created a space where opportunities naturally come to you?

In this episode of Economy Creators™, Mary sits down with Nicole Borghi—known as the “Summit Queen”—to explore how entrepreneurs can stop circling the same leads and start building ecosystems where connection, visibility, and momentum happen naturally.

Nicole’s journey is anything but traditional.

From working in virtual reality and AI to leading immersive events and supporting survivors through her work with Confronting Domestic Violence, she has built a unique blend of strategy, creativity, and service. Her work centers on one core idea:

You can build your own world.

And when you do—you control the conversation, the community, and the opportunities within it.

In this conversation, Nicole shares how summits and stages are not just marketing tools—they are containers for transformation, connection, and growth.

You’ll discover:
• Why your story is the foundation of your business—and your sales
• How summits create a “one-and-done” content engine for visibility
• The difference between talking at an audience vs. engaging with them
• How to build a community where people feel seen, heard, and valued
• Why participation and interaction are the future of events and marketing
• How to use AI as a tool—without losing your voice or identity
• The importance of delegation and letting go to truly scale your business

Nicole brings a powerful perspective on storytelling—not as performance, but as connection.

When you share your story from a place of growth (not pain), you create relatability, trust, and ultimately… opportunity.

Because people don’t connect with perfection.
They connect with authenticity, clarity, and transformation.

This episode also challenges a common trap many entrepreneurs fall into:

Doing everything themselves.

Nicole emphasizes that success doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from creating systems, building support, and allowing others to contribute.

And perhaps most importantly…

She reminds us that in a world of noise, automation, and constant change, your greatest advantage is still:

You.

Your voice.
Your story.
Your perspective.

AI can support you.
Platforms can amplify you.

But only you can create something truly unique.

Roots and Branches Ep 32 - Hidden Pregnancies

Mon, 20 Apr 2026
Janet Munro - Roots and Branches
Nancy Harrison’s story takes us back to a time when teenage pregnancy was hidden, and young girls were sent away to homes for unwed mothers. At just 17, Nancy found herself pregnant after a brief relationship with a boy who chose not to be involved. With little knowledge, no real choice, and the weight of societal expectations, she was sent away from home to have her baby in secrecy. Her daughter was adopted — but never forgotten.

Nancy went on to build a life, marrying young and raising children, while also experiencing deep loss, including the heartbreaking death of a young daughter. Years later, at age 21, the child she placed for adoption reached out. What followed was a reunion filled with emotion, healing, and understanding.

This episode explores the lasting impact of those experiences, the silence many women still carry, and the message that it was never just their fault.
